Life itself can sometimes be hard and complicated and others easy, fun and loving. The reality is that we don’t know what’s next to come or how the day will end but we can learn how to go through it with out guilt, anger and suffering. I have learned that nothing is too hard if we are willing to put the effort and to be intentional about it. That we can choose to be happy or to be sad,to be miserable or completely Joyful. It would probably take years to finally understand how we can manage situations with a different perspective. Its all about it! Don’t loose Hope!
WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME?
“God never said that the journey would be easy,
but He did say that the arrival would be worthwhile” – Max Lucado
Is this the first Question we ask when we are in a desperate situations? When things are not going the way we expect it?
I know I have asked myself that so many times. There was one time that I will never forget and it brings me to tears every time I remember. After receiving a call from my husband, then getting into an argument and hung up on him, that’s when I shout out off my lungs, crying, breathless while driving ” Why me!!!” GOD ”Why me”. I was so Angry at myself that I had to park my vehicle and talk to God. For the first time in my life I was angry even at him. Asking him all the Questions that I had in my mind and not receive an answer. I wanted to do something! but there was nothing I could do about the situation with my husband. It was a DEAD END.
Does this sounds familiar to you? Sometimes the first Question is fallowed by an ”If I am”. Why is this happening to me ”If I am”…… The truth is that regardless of what you think about yourself. Its never enough for the other persons ”expectations”. Not that YOU are not ENOUGH (Because you ARE) but expectations can and will lead you to a bad concept of real life because its roots are cemented from a broken world.
what can you do when your in a point of desperation?
1- Do not panic. Stop and be still. Psalm 46:10 says:
“Be still, and know that I am God”
2- Talk to somebody that you trust. Sharing the problem and just talking about it helps release stress and Anger. Another Good way to get your feet back in the ground is writing it down. Every little detail about it is very important.
3- Encourage yourself and be intentional about it. Record on your phone all the Good that you do and who you are. Of course! sometime is difficult to talk good about ourselves is better to hear it from friends or people we know but if that is the case then ask your friend to encourage you. Maybe sent you a voice note!
“Remember who you are. Don’t compromise for anyone, for any reason.
You are a child of the Almighty God. Live that truth.” –Lysa Terkeurst
